BLOCK DIAGRAM OF COMPUTER

The block diagram of a computer defines the flow of data until it becomes information. It has only three basic components: input, CPU (central processing unit), output.
INPUT:
The first and basic component in block diagram is “input”. Without input, this cycle is incomplete because it begins with the input. User uses the input devices like keyboard, mouse to give data to the computer system for processing. Keyboard is one of the input devices that takes the data from the user and displays it on the ‎screen. A keyboard has alphabets, numeric keys, special characters and keys.‎ Mouse is the most important device in the computer because most of the work done in ‎computer accomplished by mouse. The cursor is used to move to click on any specific point.
CPU:
CPU is the most essential part of block diagram because it controls all the processing of system. When user gives the input to the system it goes in the CPU then it performs the functions according to the instructions. CPU has three components ALU (arithmetic logic unit), CU (control unit), MU (memory unit). ALU performs all mathematical and logical functions to solve the problem. CU controls all the functions of computer system and MU works as a storage system for the computer it stores the data and retrieved it when needed.
OUTPUT:
At last, when data is processed through CPU (central processing unit) then through output devices it displays the information to the user. Output devices are printer, speakers; monitor etc. monitor is used to display any information on the screen. Speakers are used to play any sound or audio. Printer is print any file or any document or make the hard copy of file or any document. Basically, output is the last step of block diagram that transfers the data into information.
